11F is named after the address of the space, 11 Rooms Creative Space opened in 2018 by a collective of artists coming from different fields of industry. Known to the public community as an event space, creative studio, and artist residency. Before ’11F’ the space was abandoned for 12 years, a completely wrecked house and it took a year to refurbish it in early 2017. No genre but endless possibilities.
In this episode on Extended Asia Vol. 3, “Discovery,” They had the A/V title: TRAVELLER in a short project collaborating with music producer Digital Angel. We had a few meetings online and came up with this concept of a bad dream-like experience when you are traveling in this world as a human. For the intro, I contacted Aiwei Foo to contribute some words and read from her own writing of poetry like random thoughts in her mind. It was all shown in the visual and also translated into English from a Black rye bread recipe to a Russian guy brushing their teeth.
For the Chinese character 飘 means float, personal interpretation is more like drifting away and feeling lost in translation in this world.
