[Deathless @deathlessnoir] is a moniker used by its founder, Ramz, an experimental drone/ambient musician based in Bandung, Indonesia. He’s also a sound designer, guitarist, producer, and instrument builder. His music is often expressed as Heavy and Apocalyptic drone/ambient. Deathless emphasizes the use of minimal chord progression and complex effects processing in its repetitive sounds.

Deathless was founded in 2005 and started to record noise/experimental drone composition in 2009 for “Ars Longa, Vita Brevis.” Then followed by the second album, “Litteraetantri”, both are released in digital & cassette format by Sonic Funeral & Doomwood, few singles that were released including “Polyarchy” for “Indonesian Drone” Compilation and single inspired by a painting “Muda Belantara”.

Since 2018, Deathless is also known as part of a free-improvised collective called Subtractive and Indomodular (@indomodular), an Indonesian modular synth/eurorack community and actively involved in organizing experimental/noise events.

Deathless latest album entitled “Search/Destroy” was released in early 2020 by Tangerang based label Blank Orb Recordings (@blank.orb). In 2021, Deathless will release a split album with Baséput on Blank Orb. Meanwhile, Ramz’s Techno/Dark Ambient project, Profound Grief, just released debut single “Budh Perangai” as a part of the “Arsip 001” compilation from Bali based label, Non Archive (@non.archive). The long-awaited new album “Noir” is expected to release in late 2021.
