[Morgensoll @morgensoll_] is a post-metal unit from Jakarta, Indonesia. Started as a ‘one-man band’ and was formed by guitarist Haecal Benarivo (@benarivo96) in 2016. Two years later, Morgensoll released two singles, ‘Introvert’ and ‘Ngengat’. By playing epic sprawling music of heavy discordant metal to soft delicate passages, and touring a lot, Morgensoll received many good reviews about their music. Haecal Benarivo then quickly recruited Bagas Wisnu (drums @bagasencek), Yohanes Devin (guitar), Adiaksa Wisesa (bass @sesaadiaksa) and finalised
the line-up in early 2019. With this solid line-up, Morgensoll released their first live EP named Prologue, containing 3 live tracks on it; ‘Prologue’, ‘Pelican’ and ‘Sense Of Belonging’, in mid 2019 by their own label, Kamar Bising (@kamarbising_). And now, Morgensoll is preparing their first full-length album, Eternal, in early 2020. They have also shared the album’s lead single ‘Doomed’ on various digital music streaming platforms.

In this episode on Extended Asia Vol. 2 “Satellite”, they created an experimental AV set, with Angular//Momentum (@angularmomentum_) in a searching new form to cultivate their persona to develop post-music and ambient as their primary aesthetic.
